The Goldsworthy inspiration surfaces in the 'sticks' that frame Shaw's meeting rooms. Custom carpets, millwork and finishes designed by me. Phots by Raef Grohne
This is by far, my favourite part of the project - the materials, the volumes, the intersection of geometry. The ceiling inset was supposed to be that lush blushing rose colour, but aside from that I love the final outcome. My role - materials, finishes and millwork. Photo by Raef Grohne.
If I had articulated as a kid what I wanted to do with my life it probably would have come out as a fantasy version of what I'm doing right now. That's a good sign.
My design career began formally when I entered the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1993. It became apparent to me that I was more a designer than an artist. I found myself craving parameters and ultimate purpose for the work I was creating. That is what brought my focus to the built environment.
The portfolio you see here is a small collection of some of that work - from my most recent projects to my favourites through my earlier work with multi-media and architectural firms, design school projects and a sneak peak at my extracurricular passions.
Welcome to my work!
